Michaela Michaelson graduated from St. Catherine University in 2012 and was a four year member of the hockey team. During her junior year as a forward for the Wildcats, Michaelson set multiple school records and helped the 2009-2010 team qualify for the MIAC Playoffs for the first time in program history. Additionally that year, after leading both the team and conference in several statistical categories, Michaelson earned accolades that included MIAC women’s Hockey Player of the Year, First-Team All-America honors, and was a finalist for the Laura Hurd National Player of the Year. Michaelson’s athletic prowess continued into her senior season where she once again received the MIAC Women’s Hockey Player of the Year Award and first-team All-America honors. During her career, she was a two-time All-USCHO first team honoree, two-time Wildcat Athlete of the Year, four year letter winner, and four-year MIAC All-Conference recipient. Michaelson currently holds the school record in game-winning goals (14) and is third all-time in career points (112), career goals (61), and career assists (51).
