Deidre (Lindstrom) King graduated from the College of St. Catherine in 2005 after a storied career with the tennis program. King found success on the court as both a doubles and singles player for the Wildcats, setting multiple school records and earning multiple awards and honors in the process. King earned Third Team Academic All-American honors in 2002-03. As a junior in 2004, she helped guide St. Kate’s to its first ever team appearance in the NCAA Tennis Tournament. The Wildcats reached the Sweet 16 that season and King earned the Jeanne Arth award for her on and off court performances. In addition to earning Academic All-America honors and the Jeanne Arth award, King was named MIAC All-Conference for her singles play in 2005. King holds the school record for career singles wins with a 68-22 record and is third all-time with a career doubles record of 60-32. Her career match record of 128-54 is the best in school history, and King is just one of three Wildcat tennis players to win 60 or more career matches in both singles and doubles play. After graduating in 2005, she remained at St. Kate’s, and in 2007, completed her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
