Hall of Fame
Jill (Ament) Gibbon graduated in 2004 and was a stand-out three sport athlete during her four years at the College of St. Catherine. She earned an incredible 11 varsity letters and played an important role for the Wildcats on the soccer, hockey, and track and field teams. In soccer she was athletic enough to play goalie early in her career and then move to the offensive end of the field and earn MIAC All-Conference honors. During her junior and senior seasons she was the team’s leading scorer and also served as team captain. Gibbon was honored by her teammates and coaches by being named the team MVP. Her contributions to the hockey team may not have been as numerous, but they were just as important. Gibbon scored the game winning goal to clinch the Wildcats first ever trip to the MIAC playoffs in 2001. Â
Gibbon’s greatest successes came on the track. During her time at St. Kate’s she had 16 performances that ranked in the top five in St. Kate’s history. She also earned All-MIAC or All-MIAC Honorable Mention honors 12 times in eight different events. During her four years on the track and field team she set six St. Kate’s records and was the leading point scorer for the Wildcats her junior and senior seasons.
Gibbon’s impressive dedication and commitment to playing three collegiate sports at a very high level continues to be an inspiration to all Wildcat athletes.  Â
