Kayla Sis has been named Wildcat Athlete of the Week for her performance during the past week of play for the St. Kate's volleyball team. Sis started with week strong against UW-Stout.Though the team fell 3-2, Sis had an excellent performance from her outside hitter position. She finished the match with a hitting percentage of .371 and had 15 kills and two service aces.

Kayla’s outstanding play continued when the team traveled to UW-Superior. At the weekend long tournament, with the help of Kayla’s aggressive play, the Wildcats won their pool, and finished second overall with a 3-1 record. On day one, Kayla led the team with 22 kills and had four service aces.

Kayla currently sits second on the team in attacks, kills and hitting percentage and third on the team in service aces.

The Wildcats open conference play on Wednesday September 16, when they travel to Carleton College.
