Wildcat swimmer and diver Bridget Perkins has been named Wildcat Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Wildcats season opening meet.

The first year student-athlete got her collegiate career off to a fantastic start by finishing first overall at the Augsburg Pentathlon Meet. The meet required athletes to swim five events and totaled their points from each race, Perkins' first place tally was 301 points.

Her winning total included two second-place finishes (100 fly in 1:03.94 and 100 free in 56.81) and one third-place finish (100 IM in 1:07.21). She also finished seventh in the 100 breaststroke (1:19.52) and tenth in the 100 back (1:10.03).

Perkins is the youngest of Glen and Teresa Perkins' three children. She is a Biology major at St. Kate's.
