WAVERLY, Iowa -- The No. 9 ranked St. Catherine University golf team secured their first team title of the spring season paced by junior
Kyra Venne with the tournament low round and senior
Jaycee Rhodes one stroke behind as the runner up. The Wildcats first team shaved 21 strokes from round one shooting 311 (+31) for a two-day score of 643 (+83).
Venne shot 80-79 159 (+19) for the tournament individual title as Rhodes went 83-77 160 (+20) as runner up.
Morgan Anderson was third leading the Wildcats second team to a fourth place finish with a 36-hole score of 161 (+21).
Katie Reeves carded a 36-hole round of 162 (+22) and
Grace Petzold rounded out the top five individuals shooting 163 (+23). Two strokes behind Petzold was
Paige Hillman who finished the day tied for seventh with a 165 (+25).
Emma Almquist improved seven strokes from the first round to tied for tenth at 167 (+27).
Macey Martin finished the weekend tied for 19th shooting 171 (+31),
Lolla Magrann finished tied for 31st and
Emmie Verhaagh was 41st overall.
St. Kate's travels to Illinois April 13 and 14 for the Kathy Neipagen Spring Fling hosted by Illnois Weselyan University.
