Four earn end of season MIAC honors, Ahrens named Rookie of the Year

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its award recipients for the 2025-26 women's golf season on Monday with four from St. Catherine University on the end of the season honors list.

First-year Raquel Ahrens was selected MIAC Women's Golf Rookie of the Year, after averaging 79.6 shots per round and placing in the top 10 at six of the nine events in which she competed during her debut season. Ahrens' third-round par at the 2025 MIAC Women's Golf Championships earned her a spot on the All-Championship Team. She is now the fifth different Wildcat in the last six seasons to be named MIAC Rookie of the Year.

The MIAC Women's Golf All-Conference team was selected using a combination of MIAC championship results and end-of-season voting. The top 10 finishers (including ties) at the MIAC Championship last fall automatically earned All-MIAC honors, and coaches nominated and voted on five additional players to the All-MIAC squad based on their body of work throughout the season.

Sophomore Caylin Cantwell earned All-MIAC honors for the second consecutive season pacing the Wildcats with a low average of 76.4 and finishing in the top-five in nine events including a second place finish in the Mount Mercy Spring Invite in April. Cantwell finished the season with the third best scoring average in the conference which included a low-round of 71 (-2) this spring.

The conference also recognized honorable mention selections, bestowing the accolade upon any individual who did not place among the top five vote-getters but still received votes from at least three coaches.

Senior Lolla Magrann concluded her remarkable season with the 18th best scoring average in the MIAC at 80.6 and over a six stroke improvement from her rookie season. Magrann recorded a team best round of 69 (-3) this season during a qualifying event in Arizona with a tournament low-round score of 72 this spring earning her All-MIAC Honorable Mention.

Arivia DeBoer also earned Honorable Mention accolades as just one of five rookies on the post-season honors list. DeBoer wrapped up her first year with an 81.5 scoring average that included three top-ten finishes highlighted by a third place finish at the Upper Iowa Spring Invite, tied with Cantwell to earn them both MIAC Player of the Week recognition.
