Kyra Venne shooting 70 (-1) after the first round. The team overall is currently in second shooting +23, eight strokes behind tournament host Minnesota State-Mankato in first and a field of Division II teams.
As an individual, Venne is second just one stroke shy of the lead golfer, Anna Cinak from MSU-Mankato. Behind Venne is first-year
Grace Petzold carding a five-over par 76 after the first 18-holes tied for fifth.
Playing as an individual, junior
Morgan Anderson finished the day plus seven tied for 10th. Senior
Jaycee Rhodes was one stroke behind Anderson shooting 79 (+8) sitting tied for 13th. The final golfer adding to the team score was junior
Paige Hillman with an 82 (+11) T22.
The Wildcats second individual in the event was sophomore
Emma Almquist shooting tweleve over par and tied for 25th. Balancing out the team was
Katie Reeves shooting 92 (+21) after the first 18.
St. Kate's will finish the second round on Tuesday with a 10 am shotgun start at Troy Burne.
