SANDESTIN, Fla. -- The No. 8 ranked St. Catherine University golf team finished the Golfweek October Classic posting a round of 296 (+8) on Tuesday finishing the highly competitive event in tenth place overall. 

Junior Kyra Venne led the way for St. Catherine finishing tied for fifth as an individual. Venne carded a team low-round of 72 (E) on Tuesday to finish the 54-hole round with a score of 220 (+4) with five birdies and the second-most pars in the tournament collecting 40 in three days. 

Senior Jaycee Rhodes and first-year Grace Petzold remained tied after the final round each shooting 74 (+2) for a 54-hole score of 231 (+15). Petzold led the way with birdies over the tournament with nine total including four in the final 18-holes. 

Junior Paige Hillman shaved seven strokes from round two while posting her best performance of the tournament on Tuesday with a four over par 76. Hillman finished the 54-hole event tied for 75th place with a score of 238 (+22). 

Junior Morgan Anderson also carded her best performance of the tournament on Tuesday shooting 76 (+4), a six stroke improvement from the second round. Anderson finished the event tied for 80th place shooting 239 (+23). 

The Golfweek October Classic closes out the fall season for St. Kate's with three team titles while finishing the other two events as the runner-up. Aside from winning the MIAC Championship for the third time in four seasons, St. Kate's claimed the title at the St. Kate's Fall Invite and the Wartburg Fall Invite, where the team posted the lowest-round in MIAC history with a score of 288 in the first round.
