The Wildcat hockey team won its second straight game Friday night at Hamline. Hallie Paschke started the scoring for St. Kate's late in the first period on assist from Megan Zillmer and Kasey Evans at 18:12.

After a scoreless second period, the Wildcats would add two more early in the third before giving up the lone Piper goal late in the game.  Cassie Rooney scored the second goal of the game, the eventual game-winner.  Evans picked up her second assist of the night and Kallie Geissler also assisted. Megan Killmer netted the final goal of the evening for the Wildcats. A short-handed, unassisted goal at the 6:59 mark.

Samantha Geissler picked up her seventh win of the season, stopping 17 of the 18 Hamline shots on goal. St. Kate's had 32 shots on goal, almost doubling the Piper's efforts.

"It was nice to get that Friday night win, as it's been a while. We're really focused on tomorrow afternoon right now. Hamline plays a good defensive game so we'll have to work hard again and take advantage of chances." Coach Marshall's comments after the game Friday night, anticipating another tough game Saturday afternoon.

The teams face off again Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in Mariucci Arena on the University of Minnesota campus.
