The St. Kate's hockey team finished their weekend trip to Finlandia with a 3-0 win to sweep the Lions for the season.
Michaela Michaelson picked up two power play goals and
Cassie Vennemann scored her first collegiate goal to round out the scoring for the Wildcats.
Kayla Lange picked up her first collegiate shutout. She recorded eight saves in the game.
After a scoreless first period, Michaelson put the Wildcats on the board with an assist from
Cassie Rooney at the 10:53 mark in the second.
At the 13:39 mark in the third Michaelson struck again, this time with an assist from
Kelsey Abrahamson.
Nearly four minutes later Vennemann netted her first collegiate goal with an assist from
Bridget Braastad.
The Wildcats are now 9-1 on the season. They play host to UW-River Falls on January 9th at 7:30 pm.
