Bridget Perkins has been named Wildcat Athlete of the Week for her outstanding performances at the Macalester Invitational.  Over the course of the two day meet, the first year swimmer and diver competed in seven events, was a part of 126 of the Wildcats 401 points, and finished no lower than fourth in any event.

Perkins finished first and swam a new career best time of 1:01.54 in the 100 fly. That is a time which is the second fastest in the MIAC this season, and ranks her fifth all-time at St. Kate's in that event.
Along with her victory in the 100 Fly, Perkins recorded three second-place finishes. In the 50 Free and the 100 Free she not only picked up the silver medal, but added her name to the St. Kate’s top-ten all-time lists with times of 25.80 and 55.96 respectively. Perkins’ other runner-up finish came when she combined with teammates Sarah Vrudny, Ashley Kramka, and Elizabeth Fosse in the 200 Free Relay (1:44.58).
Bridget’s third-place finishes came in the 3-meter diving event (259.05 pts) and the 400 Free Relay (3:51.01). Her fourth-place finish came in the 200 Medley Relay (2:03.07).
Bridget is the daughter of Glen and Teresa Perkins, and is a Biology Major at St. Kate’s.
