COON RAPIDS, Minn. — St. Catherine University golf opened the 2026 season with a strong showing at the St. Kate's Fall Opener, highlighted by
Caylin Cantwell earning individual medalist honors at Bunker Hills Golf Club.
Cantwell finished the two-round tournament at 145 (+1), carding rounds of 74 and 71 to claim her first collegiate win. Her final-round 71 was one-under par and tied for the lowest round of the tournament.
As a team, the Wildcats placed third with a two-round total of 636, improving six strokes from an opening-round 321 to a 315 in the final round. Northwestern-St. Paul captured the team title at 618, followed by Bethel at 628.
Elle Schweim was the Wildcats' next finisher, placing 11th with a 158 after rounds of 81 and 77.
Sydney Dodds tied for 15th at 164 (81-83), while
Emma Dobbins tied for 20th at 169 (85-84).
Arivia DeBoer rounded out the St. Catherine lineup in 23rd with a 172 (86-86).
St. Kate's also had three golfers competing as individuals, led by
Raquel Ahrens, who turned in another top-three performance for the Wildcats. Ahrens finished third overall at 150 (+6) with rounds of 74 and 76.
Lexi Napuli placed 13th at 163 (84-79), while
Kali Hanson finished 27th at 176 (83-93).
