EDINA, Minn. – The St. Catherine University golf team claimed its sixth Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Championship on Sunday, completing a record-setting weekend at Braemar Golf Course.

The Wildcats led the 54-hole championship from start to finish, posting rounds of 294, 291 and 297 to finish at 882 (+18), 38 strokes ahead of Gustavus Adolphus and Macalester, which tied for second at 920 (+56).

St. Kate's 882 established a new MIAC Championship 54-hole team record, breaking the previous mark of 886 set by Carleton in 2025. The Wildcats also set conference championship records for 18 holes with their second-round 291 and for 36 holes with a two-round total of 585.

Junior Caylin Cantwell completed a historic weekend of her own, earning MIAC medalist honors with a three-round score of 210 (-6). Cantwell carded rounds of 67, 69 and 74 and established new MIAC Championship records for 18 holes (67), 36 holes (136) and 54 holes (210). She finished eight strokes clear of the runner-up.

Elle Schweim joined Cantwell and Ahrens inside the top 10, tying for sixth overall at 224 (+8) after rounds of 77, 72 and 75.

Cantwell, Ahrens and Schweim each earned MIAC All-Championship Team honors, awarded to the tournament's top 10 individual finishers.

Arivia DeBoer finished just outside the top 10 in 12th place, totaling 231 (+15) with rounds of 76, 78 and 77. Sydney Dodds rounded out the St. Catherine lineup in a tie for 24th at 239 (+23).

The championship is the sixth conference title in program history for St. Catherine. With the victory, the Wildcats also secured the MIAC's automatic berth to the 2027 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship, scheduled for May 11-14 at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia.
