WOODBURY, Minn. — St. Catherine University opened the St. Kate's Fall Invite with a strong first-round showing on Saturday at Eagle Valley Golf Course, carding a team score of 303 (+15) to sit in third place heading into the final round. The Wildcats are just one stroke behind Macalester and nine shots back of first-place UW-Stout.
Caylin Cantwell led the Wildcats with a one-over-par 73, placing her in a tie for third individually.
Elle Schweim followed with a 75 (+3), good for a tie for 12th, while
Raquel Ahrens posted a 77 (+5) to sit tied for 20th.
Sydney Dodds rounded out St. Catherine's scoring four with a 78 (+6) and is tied for 26th.
Emma Dobbins added an 85 (+13).
St. Catherine also had three golfers competing as individuals.
Arivia DeBoer turned in a solid opening round with a 76 (+4) to place 16th.
Lexi Napuli shot an 84 (+12), while
Kali Hanson finished the day with a 90 (+18).
St. Catherine is off at 12:50 pm for the final round of the fall invite. Hanson is first for the Wildcats at Braemar Golf Course in Edina, Minnesota.
