EDINA, Minn. -- The No. 10 ranked St. Catherine University golf team had a tournament low round of 298 (+10) to move into second place at the St. Kate's Fall Invite on Sunday. Round two was played at Braemar Golf Course in Edina with St. Kate's finishing just six strokes behind as the runner up to Carleton. Round two was also the team's lowest 18 and the event was the team's 36-hole low this season.
Sophomore
Caylin Cantwell paced St. Kate's with an even par 72 with an eagle and two birdies. Cantwell finished individually in fifth after shooting 75 (+5) in round one. Senior
Lolla Magrann carded a career low round of 73 (+1) for an overall 16th place score of ten over par.
Also posting a career low round was rookie
Arivia DeBoer who shot 74 (+2) shaving four strokes from round one to come in ninth individually.
Raquel Ahrens carded a round of 79 (+7) for a two day score of 154 (+10) and tying with Magrann in 16th.
First-year
Emma Dobbins improved one stroke on Sunday starting the round off with back to back birdies while adding two more in the final nine. Dobbins shot 83 to finish 49th as an individual.
Individuals
Kali Hanson and
Sydney Dodds also competed in the two-day event as Hanson repeated her round of 82 (+10) on Sunday and Dodds shot 85 (+13).
Next up for St. Kate's is the 2025 MIAC Women's Golf Championships which will be a 54-hole event hosted at Braemar. St. Kate's looks to claim the championship title for the third consecutive season October 4-6.
