ST. JOSEPH, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 match to the College of Saint Benedict Bennies in St. Joseph. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 9-7 and 1-1 in conference play.
Madison Fagan led the Wildcats with 9.5 points, registering three kills and a .333 hitting percentage, while Lexie Petrick showcased her defensive abilities with a team-high 29 digs. Addison Preuss chipped in with five digs and 24 assists.
In terms of team performance, St. Kate's posted a .083 hitting percentage overall with 27 kills struggling offensively. Despite their efforts, they were unable to break through St. Benedict's defense consistently, but they managed to record 7.0 team blocks and posted a 62% sideout percentage in the final set.
St. Kate's is home on Friday, October 4 as they host Augsburg University at 7 pm. They turn around and travel to Augsburg on Saturday facing University of Wisconsin-River Falls and University of Wisconsin-Platteville.Â
