Volleyball downs Concordia Wisconsin, Augustana College on final day of St. Paul Tournament

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University volleyball team picked up two wins on Saturday edging out Concordia University Wisconsin 3-2 before a three-set sweep of Augustana College at Butler Center. St. Kate's is 3-1 after the weekend and three consecutive victories. 

MATCH ONE | St. Catherine 3, Concordia Wisconsin 2
St. Catherine came from behind after dropping the first two sets 23-25 and 18-25. They rallied to win the next three sets 25-15, 25-23, and 15-9, securing a 3-2 victory.

Lexie Petrick and Liz Rosen, each tallied 11 kills, and Eleanor Erickson, had an impressive .389 hitting percentage. Despite Concordia's strong start, they couldn't maintain their momentum as St. Catherine tightened their defense and capitalized on crucial plays, especially in the fourth set, which featured 13 tie scores and four lead changes.

MATCH TWO | St. Catherine 3, Augsustana 0
The Wildcats swept the Vikings in the final match of the weekend led by Petrick and Rosen posting nine kills each followed by seven from Mallory Johnson and Emily Bredman. Petrick recorded a team best 25 digs in the set for 12 points and earning her All-Tournament Team Honors for the Wildcats. 

The Wildcats travel to University of Wisconsin-Stout on Wednesday for a non-conference match at 7 pm.
