WOODBURY, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University golf team secured first place in the St. Kate's Fall Invite carding a team score of 606 (+25) after 36-holes. Day two was played at Eagle Valley Golf Course in Woodbury, Minnesota where fifth-year
Sydney Brandt finished second overall as an individual after setting a program-low in the first round. Brandt shot 78 (+6) in the second round to finish the event three over par.
Sophomore
Kyra Venne finished fourth overall shooting 78 (+6) on Sunday for a two-day round of 149 (+6). St. Kate's junior
Jaycee Rhodes was one stroke away from the top-five coming in sixth overall improving by three strokes on day two to finish with a 152 (+8).
Junior
Jessica Loera had an impressive weekend shooting 76-77 to finish tied for 7th overall and lead the Wildcats second team to a 6th place finish.
Sophomore
Morgan Anderson was tied for 19th overall finishing with a two-day score of 160 (+16) and junior
Katie Reeves tied with first-year
Lolla Magrann in 34th place. Reeves shot 90 (+18) on day two while Magrann carded an 84 (+12).
Senior
Dasha Parker improved three strokes after the first round shooting 82 (+10) finishing just one stroke behind Reeves and Magrann and junior
Emmie Verhaagh moved up six places to finish plus 39 on the weekend.
The Wildcats will look to defend their back to back Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) championship titles next weekend at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids. The 54-hole event starts on Saturday, October 1 and will run through Monday.
