RIVER FALLS, Wis. -- The St. Catherine outdoor track & field team collected three first place finishes at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Invitational on Saturday along with 13 PR finishes.
Rookie
Madi Genz claimed first in the 100-meter dash with a PR mark of 13.27. Junior
Claire Nichols was the runner-up with a time of 13.75 and
Maclairen Strong was 15th at 16.20
Genz was the Wildcats top finisher in the 200-meter finals at 28.11 in seventh followed by sophomore
Gabby Bodin clocking in with a PR time of 28.32 for eighth place. Sophomore
Erin Doyle collected a PR finish in the event with a ninth place time of 28.70 and rookie
Burnices Barlue was tenth with a PR time of 28.94. Making her collegiate debuting in the 200-meter dash was rookie
Elle Geislinger with a time of 29.56.
Junior
Morgan Brandt had a PR finish in the 1500 finishing behind teammates
Julia Clark in tenth and
Anya Swanson in 16th with a time of 5:36. 08 in 20th.
Lizzy Erlandson had a PR finish at 5:47.88 in 23rd and
Emma Meyer came in 23rd in 5:48.51. Sophomore
Brenna Nelson and first-year
Lily Harvey both PR'd with Nelson clocking in at 26th and 28th. respectively.
Bodin was third in the 100-hurdles at 16.12, Barlue was fifth with a PR of 17.23 and Geislinger debuts in eighth at 17.66. Bodin also appeared in the long jump with a PR of 5.02m coming in sixth overall. Nichols joined Bodin in the event coming in ninth with a mark of 4.64m.
Barlue and senior
Bryana Leverentz claimed first and second in the triple jump led by Barlue. She recorded a PR mark of 10.54m while Leverentz was the runner-up at 10.00m. Leverentz claimed the Wildcats third first-place finish of the day with a top mark of 39.25m.
Rookie
Abby Althoff was the top Wildcat in the shot put and the hammer throw on Saturday, tallying a PR in the hammer. Althoff was tenth in the shot put with a mark of 9.16m and threw a mark of 26.78. Behind her in the shot put was senior
Kennedy Johnson throwing 9.14m in 11th and junior
Lydia Wehrspann was 13th at 8.52m. Wehrspann also appeared in the hammer with Althoff coming in 14th with a mark of 24.81m.
