COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University track & field team had a day at the Saint John's and Saint Benedict Invite on Thursday with three PR performances along with debut times from
Eleanor Lindeman and
Lydia Feldhahn.
Maggie Lewandowski set the tone for the field athletes posting a personal best mark in the shot put of 10.54m to finish 19th and was 23rd in the hammer throw with a mark of 38.18m. First-year Aleshsha Rentz appeared in both events with a 9.50m mark in the shot put while recording a mark of 26.46m in hammer. Lillian Sembello appeared in the javelin throw for St. Kate's with a finish of 12.85m.
Junior
Kaitlyn Peterson continued her record season with a PR finish of 1:06.16 in the 400m dash and was 12th overall in the 1500m clocking a time of 5:17.55. Just behind in the 1500 was sophomore
Lauren Kennedy with a season best time of 5:41.55. Kennedy also appeared in the 800m event finishing with a PR time of 2:44.13, good for 19th place.
Lindeman and Feldhahn posted top-5 debut times in the 10000m with Lindeman clocking a runner-up time of 39:51.26, ranking her 5th all time for the Wildcats. Feldhahn's time of 41:54.66 landed her 5th in the event and just shy of the Wildcats top ten performance list.
