ST. PAUL, Minn. -- St. Catherine turned in a strong all-around performance, highlighted by a runner-up finish and a wave of personal bests across distance and field events.
The 1500m group set the tone early with a tightly packed set of finishes. Junior Kaitlyn Peterson led the Wildcats with a personal-best 5:04.61, followed closely by first-year Eleanor Lindeman (5:06.63). First-year Lydia Feldhahn (5:07.42) and sophomore Mist Sit (5:15.52) each added personal-best performances, showcasing the depth of the distance squad.
Lindeman delivered one of the top performances of the meet in the 3000m steeplechase, placing second overall with a personal-best time of 12:00.82.
In the 5000m, sophomore Lauren Kennedy led the way with a seventh-place finish in 21:33.68, a personal best. Junior Felicity Lamb followed in ninth (22:03.02, PB), while senior Miranda Kerndt rounded out the group in 10th with a personal-best 23:05.97.
In the field events, junior Maggie Lewandowski paced the Wildcats throwers with a mark of 40.58m (133-1) in the hammer throw to place 11th, while also competing in discus (28.32m) and shot put (9.80m). First-year Alehsha Rentz contributed in both the hammer (28.11m) and shot put (9.46m).
First-year Kristin Siebsen cleared 1.36m (4-5.5) in the high jump to place 10th, while Lillian Sembello added a 13th-place finish in the javelin with a throw of 12.56m (41-2).
St. Kate's will close out their strong season competing in the 2026 Outdoor Track & Field Championships May 8 and 9 hosted by St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.Â
