Wildcats deliver PR performances at Joe Sweeney Invite

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine track & field team saw multiple personal bests and strong finishes across distance and field events at the Joe Sweeney Invite at the University of St. Thomas on Wednesday evening. 

On the track, junior Kaitlyn Peterson led the way in the 800m, placing 27th with a personal-best time of 2:27.06. Sophomore Mist Sit followed with a season-best 2:38.10. In the 1500m, junior Felicity Lamb added another personal record to her season, finishing in 5:54.85.

The Wildcats' distance crew continued to impress in the 5000m, where first-year Eleanor Lindeman delivered a standout performance, placing 20th with a personal-best 18:25.49. Fellow first-year Lydia Feldhahn also notched a personal best, crossing the line in 19:01.67.

In the field events, junior Maggie Lewandowski put together a strong day with two top performances. She recorded a season-best throw of 28.69m (94-1) in the discus to place 21st, and followed it up with a personal-best mark of 10.67m (35-0.25) in the shot put, finishing 12th.

First-year Kristin Siebsen cleared a personal-best height of 1.43m (4-8.25) in the high jump to place 13th, continuing her steady progression this season.
