ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University track & field team appeared in the St. Olaf College Manitou Classic and the Bethel University Gene Glader Invite Saturday.
Maggie Lewandowski led the throws team in Northfield recording a personal best mark of 40.52m in the hammer throw, good for sixth overall. Lewandowski tallied a 16th placed finish in the shot put with a mark of 9.09m followed by rookie Aleshsha Rentz finished 18th with a mark of 8.99m. Lillian Sembello was 21st in the javelin throw, finishing with a PR mark of 14.79m.
At Bethel,
Kaitlyn Peterson led the way in the 800 meters, clocking a time of 2:31.06. In the 1500 meters, first-year
Lydia Feldhahn delivered a finish of 5:15.30. Fellow rookie
Eleanor Lindeman competed in the 3000-meter steeplechase placing eight overall with a time of 12:01.19, ranking fifth in program history. In the field,
Kristin Siebsen added a PR mark of 1.38m in the high jump.
St. Kate's will compete at the Saint Johns University/College of Saint Benedict on Saturday, April 18.
