NORMAL, Ill. -- Senior golfer Sydney Brandt leads St. Catherine golf on day one of the Illinois Wesleyan University Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling at the Ironwood Golf Course in Normal, Illinois. Brandt is tied for fifth after 18-holes shooting 75 (+3) with four birdies on the round leading St. Kate's to third place after the first day. 

Behind Brandt is sophomore Jaycee Rhodes at five over carding a 77 sitting tied for 10th overall. Rookies Greta McArthur and Morgan Anderson are tied for 15th both shooting 78(+6) and senior Kate Taylor is plus seven after 18-holes tied for 21st. 

The Wildcats second team is tied for ninth place after the first day led by first-year Kyra Venne carding a four over par 76 with an eagle on the back-nine to sit tied for seventh. Junior Dasha Parker is in 30th place shooting 81 (+9), sophomore Katie Reeves shot an 87 (+15), and sophomore Jessica Loera finished the day at plus 18 shooting 90. 

St. Catherine will tee of at 10 am on Sunday with a shotgun start for the final round.
