ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The College Sports Communicators (CSC), formerly College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), announced the 2022 Academic All-District Team for Volleyball with two from St. Catherine on the prestigious list. Junior

Lauren Skar are the first-ever from the program to earn the honor and are among 28 others from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) selected for 2022.
The Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student‐athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All‐America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All‐District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All‐America® ballot. First‐, second and third‐team Academic All‐ America® honorees will be announced in late December.
A exercise and sport science major, Rosen, put together her best season on record with a team-best 262 kills and 36 blocks averaging a hitting percentage .258 ranking tenth in the conference this season. Rosen is the first Wildcat since Shanee Herd in 2015 and 2016 to earn back to back All-Conference honors. She is also just the fourth in program history to be recognized for the honor at least twice in the career. Off the court, Rosen is a four-time Dean's List honoree and has been named to the MIAC Academic All-Conference team once.

Lauren Skar registered her best-career season appearing in 89 sets playing in 26 matches. She recorded 136 kills, 28 digs with 34 blocks and three assists. The Political Science, Public Policy, and Economics major, Lauren is a two-time MIAC Academic All-Conference selection, a six-time Dean's List honoree, is a member of Chi Alpha Sigma National Honor Society, the Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society, and the Omicron Delta Epsilon Economics Honor Society.
