MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University hockey team suffered their first loss of the season falling to No. 14 Augsburg University in game two of the conference series by a score of 6-0.
The Auggies scored two goals each period netting the first one at 8:13 and again at 11:21. Entering the second period up by two, Augsburg added two goals in less than two minutes at 10:19 and 11:31.
They took a 5-0 lead two minutes into the third and final period before sealing the 6-0 win with less than three minutes to play.
Elizabeth Kubicek registered the loss allowing four goals in just over 31 minutes making 13 saves.
Abby Severson completed the game playing 28 minutes allowing two goals and making 11 saves.
The Wildcats are home Friday and Saturday of next week for the MIAC series with Concordia Moorhead. Friday's game is scheduled for 7 pm followed by a 2 pm Saturday start.
