STILLWATER, Minn. -- The St. Catherine golf team concluded the final 18-holes of the St. Kate's Invite finishing in first and third overall. Entering the day, the second team held a five stroke maintaining it to claim the title over Carleton College with a score of 617 (+41).
Rookie
Kyra Venne was the top finisher from the first-place squad carding an overall 151 (+7) tied with senior
Sydney Brandt on the third place team. The Wildcats' first team finished with the tournament day two low-round shooting 308 for a two-day score of 626 (+50).Â
Sophomore
Katie Reeves and junior
Dasha Parker guided St. Kate's each shooting 77 (+5) on Sunday to finish T6 at 154 (+10). First-year
Morgan Anderson rounded out the Wildcats round of 313 (+25) shooting 79-79 for a 14-over par 158. Senior
Clara Godoy-Henderson finished the round T71 improving on day two for a final score of 195 (+51).Â
First-year
Greta McArthur carded another 78 on Sunday for a two-day round of 156 (+12) and finishing T8. Senior
Kate Taylor shaved one stroke from the first round shooting 79 (+7) to finish T14 and sophomore
Jaycee Rhodes made up the final score shooting 77 (+5) for a 36-hole score of 160 (+16) and tied for 16th. Sophomore
Jessica Loera came in T32 shooting 85 (+13) on the second day to make up the first team top-five.Â
The Wildcats will appear in the 2021 Fall Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) championships October 2-4th at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids, Minnesota.Â
