ST. PAUL, Minn. -- St. Catherine volleyball opened the first day of the Saint Paul Tournament picking up a victory of Martin Luther and falling to Buena Vista. The Wildcats took a three set win over the Knights before dropping the second match to the Beavers 3-1.
MATCH ONE | St. Catherine 3, Matin Luther 0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-22)

Maggie Rosen tallied ten kills in the first match leading St. Kate's offensively in three sets. Sophomore
Georgia Tilton record a career-high eight kills ahead of senior
Lauren Isaacson with six. Senior
Bryana Leverentz tallied a career-high and match-high five blocks, two of which were solo blocks.
MATCH TWO | Buena Vista 3, St. Catherine 1 (16-25, 22-25, 25-17, 17-25)
The second match of the day went in favor of the visiting Beavers with the Wildcats' forcing a fourth set after clinching the third 25-17. Rosen led the way again with a season best 11 kills. Rookie
Lexie Petrick totaled a career-best ten kills in the second match as junior
Lauren Skar had nine along with two blocks. Isaacson recorded a season-best 16 digs plus two blocks. Tilton also found success in the middle with a career-best six blocks.
Day two includes three matches at
Butler Center starting with a match against Whitman College at 11 am and ending the tournament against Luther College at 3 pm. Whitman will play Martin Luther at St. Kate's at 1 pm.
