ST. PAUL, Minn. -- St. Catherine collected two three-set victories on the second day of the Saint Paul Tournament at
Butler Center. In the first match, the Wildcats swept the visiting Whitman College Blues 25-22, 25-20, and 25-14. In their fourth and final match of the weekend, St. Kate's claimed a 3-0 win over Luther College 25-19, 25-16, and 25-20.
MATCH ONE | St. Kate's 3, Whitman 0
The visiting Blues challenged St. Kate's in the first set with ten kills and seven errors to the Wildcats eleven kills and seven errors. St. Kate's found the momentum in the second and third sets rollings past the Blues outscoring by five and nine, respectively led by senior
Lauren Isaacson. Isaacson was one dig shy of a double-double, tallying eleven kills and nine digs plus two blocks and one assist.
Sophomore
Georgia Tilton had a career-best nine blocks in the first match with five kills just behind senior
Bryana Leverentz and sophomore
Maggie Rosen. Leverentz and Rosen each also had three blocks against Whitman.
Lexie Petrick had a career match with 14 digs and six blocks while also tallying five kills.

The first set against Luther College included nine tie scores and four lead changes with St. Kate's coming out on top 25-19 led by Tilton with four kills and junior
Marissa Gilbertson with six digs and seven assists.
The Wildcats sailed past the Norse taking set two 25-16 with seven ties and three lead changes. Leverentz recorded four kills in the second set while senior
Julia Weiler and sophomore Claire Segnar held down the back row with six digs each.
St. Catherine held the lead throughout the final set closing out the match 25-20 over Luther with Isaacson tallying another five kills and collecting three digs.
Leverentz hit a team-best .288 with 26 kills, eight digs, and eleven blocks. Rosen tallied a team-best 352 kills over the weekend with five digs and eight blocks while Tilton had a team-best 27 blocks with 13 kills and six digs. Petrick recorded a team-best 44 digs with 23 kills and 16 blocks.
