ST. PAUL, Minn. -- St. Catherine swimming claimed wins over the College of Saint Benedict Bennies and the University of Eau Claire Blugolds on Saturday afternoon at Butler Center Pool. St. Kate's won eleven of the fourteen events against the regional foes led by senior Jordyn Wentzel and rookie Emma Svendsen.

The Wildcats' first event was the 200-yard medley relay with senior Amelia Baxley off the blocks first. Junior Annie Voss, Wentzel, and senior Maggie Menso followed Baxley's lead claiming the top-time at 1:50.77. 

Sophomore Sammi Friedrich was clocked in with an event best 11:07.51 in the 1000-yard freestyle while senior Molly McMahon came in third at 11:25.41. 

Rookie Emma Svendsen was first in the 200-yard freestyle touching the wall at 1:57.65 and sophomore Anneke van Oosterom was the runner-up at 1:59.56. 

Voss claimed medalist honors in the 100-yard backstroke with a finals time of 1:00.10 and Wentzel was first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:04.44. 

Menso appeared in the 200-yard butterfly finishing with a best-time of 2:11.27, over .08 seconds faster than the next finisher. 

In the 100-yard freestyle, van Oosterom was first clocking in at 55.52 just edging out Menso was 55.5 in second. 

E. Svendsen and Voss were neck and neck in the 200-yard backstroke with Svendsen coming in first with a time of 2:08.28. Voss was just behind coming in at 2:08.78. 

Friedrich claimed her second title in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:26.20 and Andrea Voelker was the runner-up at 5:30.05. 

Wentzel was the first to finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 57.96 and she closed out the triangular as the anchor in the 400-yard freestyle relay coming in first with a time of 3:39.22. St. Kate's B team was second in the relay at 3:40.08.
