MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The St. Catherine volleyball team extended their win streak with a five-set win over Concordia Moorhead on Friday evening improving to 9-7 and 2-0 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC).
Lauren Skar had a career-high 17 kills for the Wildcats while senior
Lauren Isaacson tallied 15 kills and 26 digs.
Maggie Rosen also had 13 kills on the evening hitting a team-best .355.
Defensively, rookie
Lexie Petrick had a career match with 35 digs and collected nine kills. Senior
Julia Weiler recorded a career-high 28 digs. Following the match, head coach,
Todd Nelson noted, "I was really proud of our competitiveness and resiliency. We got stronger as the match wore on. It was a gritty effort."
The teams went back and forth in the first three sets before St. Kate's took a decisive 25-17 win in the fourth set and claimed the conference win in the fifth set 15-9.
The Wildcats return to
Butler Center for a 7 pm MIAC match against Saint Mary's University on Saturday.
