HASTINGS, Minn. - St. Catherine golf continued their successful fall season clinching the No. 2 spot at the Division III Classic hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College at Emerald Greens Golf Course. The Wildcats finished +45 for a 36-hole score of 621 (311-310) just three strokes behind nationally ranked Carleton College, the tournament title winners. 

Sophomore Sydney Brandt led the charge for St. Kate's finishing 6th overall with a two-round score of 152 (+6). Brandt carded a team-best 14 pars to add to her weekend total of 24. The second-year golfer had one birdie today for a total of two in 36-holes. 

St. Kate's junior Jordan Amelon added one stroke to her score from yesterday shooting 77 (+5) for a weekend score of 153 (+9). Amelon posted 22 pars in 36-holes plus added 3 birdies to finish 7th overall. 

Playing as an individual in this tournament, sophomore Kate Taylor continued her momentum from the first round taking the No. 1 spot among individuals and finished 14th overall with a score of 156 (+12). After shooting 77 (+5) on the first day, Taylor finished the second-round 79 (+7) with 3 birdies and 8 pars. The Utah native had the third most birdies in the 36-hole event with five total. 

Rookie Sydney Brown came in 16th place overall after shooting 78-79 for a two-day total of 157 (+13) tying with Amelon carding 22 pars. The first-year from Eau Claire, Wis. had two birdies on the first day of the tournament. 

The Wildcats lone senior golfer, Maddie Weinman ended up T-20 after 36-holes shooting 79-81 for a score of 160 (+16). Weinman finished with 23 pars, just one behind sophomore Brandt. 

First-year Dasha Parker improved five strokes on the second day, carding a 80 (+8) to add to her first round of 85 (+13). Parker had 15 pars in two days getting a birdie in each round. 

St. Kate's is back on the course next weekend hosting a two-day tournament at The Wilds in Prior Lake, Minn.
