St. Kate's scored their first run in the top of the second inning when sophomore Alyssa Wicks crossed the plate for the Wildcats. Rookie Lindsay Burr and Trish Sherman tallied the Wildcats second and third runs in the top of the fourth inning to take the lead after first-year Kaitlyn Backman got on base with an error in the outfield, advancing to second.

In the top of the fifth inning, St. Kate's took the two run lead with a single from Wicks to drive in first-year Alex Ehde

It was in the top of the seventh inning though that St. Kate's solidified the conference win. Senior Jenna George hit a double in the top of the inning to bring in Ehde for the 5-2 lead with zero outs.

Pinch hitting for fellow rookie Burr, catcher Olivia Beaulieu hit a two-run double bringing in Wicks and first-year Ziegler, who was pinch running for George.

The final at-bat for St. Kate's was junior catcher Autumn Mortenson brought in Burr for the final score of 8-2.
