I'm proud to be a Wildcat because: the St. Kate's athletic department represents everything great about DIII athletics. Regardless of being titled the lowest division in the NCAA and providing no athletic scholarships, the athletes at this university possess a different type of passion. Many of the athletes here innately have a work ethic that is second to none, accompanied by a burning passion that fuels the fire. This is all being said about the athletes that are playing merely for the love of the game, with no extrinsic motivation of athletic scholarship money to help them pay for college, or having the title of being a DI athlete. Being a transfer student-athlete, it is intriguing to compare the NJCAA to DIII, but they are fairly similar regarding what the cultures of the athletic programs are. And they are exceptional at that.

2018: During the 2018 season, Sherman had 44 AB opportunities and received a batting average of .205%. On the field, she earned 18 PO and had less than 3 errors the whole season with a 0.857 fielding percentage.

Previous college experience: Prior to joining St. Kate's, Sherman played softball at Iowa Western. She earned Academic All-Region honors in both 2016 and 2017. 

High School: Sherman had an outstanding career at Roseville where she was a two-year captain and earned multiple awards. Sherman was voted All-Conference during her time with the Raiders and was also voted the team MVP and Defensive Player-of-the-Year in 2015.  

Personal: Sherman chose to attend St. Kate's because of the academics, up and coming athletic department and opportunity to play college softball at a university close to home. She plans to major in exercise and sport science and is the daughter of Jody and Kim Sherman.
