Why I chose St. Kate's: Values the school and softball team hold and teach.

2019: In her junior campaign, Mortenson appeared in 38 games, batting .278 in 90 at-bats. She had 25 hits, including 12 RBIs and 3 doubles. As a catcher, Mortenson had 200 put-outs, 15 assists and caught 6 runners stealing, finishing with an .986 fielding percentage.

2018: Catcher made 6 starting appearances in the 2018 season. Behind the plate she had 29 catches, 25 put-outs, and a 0.966 fielding percentage. She ended the school year on the Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete Honor list. 

2017: Mortenson appeared in 12 games for St. Kate's in her first year, with two starts. She earned the first hit of her collegiate career in the Wildcats 16-1 win over Concordia in April. 

Personal: Mortenson  is the daughter of Shelly and Mitch Mortenson.
