The Wildcats improve to 7-3-2 on the season after beating Hamline Saturday afternoon at Ridder Arena. Freshman goalie
Samantha Geissler had a solid outing stopping 21 shots en rout to the victory.
St. Kate's scored one in each of the first two periods. The first by
Hallie Paschke, would be the game winner, assisted by
Cassie Rooney and
Nicki Mosbeck at 5:31 in the first period. The second, netted by
Rachael Gasperetti t 14:24 in the second, on assist from
Kelsey Abrahamson.
Coach Marshall stated after the game, "We controlled the play for most of the day, capitalized on our special teams and got pucks to the net in the third period. Hamline didn't quit and their goalie played well. I think when we see them again in a month, both teams will be better and it will be another good game."
