The Wildcats played Concordia College Saturday night in Buffalo, MN. Both teams came out firing in the first period. The Cobbers netted the first three goals of the night, two of which were unassisted to start the game. St. Kate's would slowly start to claw their way back into the game by finishing the period with two goals. The first by
Cassie Rooney and the second by
Megan Killmer.
After the 2-3 first period, Concordia was first to score again, the eventual game winning goal was scored at the 10:35 mark in the second period. St. Kate's would score just over six minutes later on an even strength goal by
Kelsey Abrahamson, assisted by
Megan Killmer. However, that would be the last point either team would score in the game. After a scoreless third period. Concordia held on for the 4-3 victory.
The Wildcats now have a lengthy break before their next game, on January 6 when they take on UW-Concordia.
