CORALVILLE, Iowa -- The St. Catherine University golf team is in first place after round one of the Mount Mercy Spring Invite at Brown Deer Golf Club in Coralville, Iowa. Sophomore
Caylin Cantwell is first individually, leading the team to a round of 324 (+36).
Cantwell's two over par round of 74 included a birdie to open the day for the Wildcats No. 1 and senior
Lolla Magrann is tied for third shooting 77 (+5).
Rookie
Arivia DeBoer and
Raquel Ahrens made up the rest of the team score for St. Kate's, shooting 86 (+14) and 87 (+15), respectively. DeBoer is tied for 15th while Ahrens is just behind, tied in 18th.
Emma Dobbins finished the round carding 89 (+17) tied in 24th with individual
Sydney Dodds in 30th shooting 90 (+18). Rounding out the Wildcat golfers was
Kali Hanson with a 18-hole score of 97(+25).
The tournament will continue for round two on Tuesday with the Wildcats holding a two-stroke lead over tournament host, Mount Mercy.
