NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University indoor track & field team finished their first day of the MIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted at Carleton College in Northfield. The Wildcats earned three team points after appearing in three events.
Junior
Kaitlyn Peterson appeared in the 800 meter run clocking a PR time of 2:31.31, good for 18th overall.Â
The highlight of the day came in the 5000 meter run with a sixth place time of 18:39.72. The PR finish for Lindeman bumps her into the third spot on the Wildcats All-Time Performance List jumping ahead of Leighlin Ahlstrom who recorded a time of 18:39.83 at the MIAC Indoor Championships in 2017, finishing 13th.Â
First-year
Lydia Feldhahn also competed in her first MIAC Indoor Championships after qualifying for the 5K posting a PR time of 19:24.48, for 17th overall.Â
The evening closed with the women's distance medley relay featuring
Mist Sit, Peterson,
Lilly Sembello and
Felicity Lamb. The relay team finished tenth in the event with a time of 14:37.86.Â
The meet continues for the Wildcats on Saturday as Lindeman and Feldhahn qualified for the 3000 meter run, which is scheduled for 3:15 pm in Northfield.Â
