MANKATO, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University track and field team completed day two at the Mark Schuck Open hosted by Minnesota State University Mankato with another strong mix of distance and field performances.
Middle-distance action saw junior
Kaitlyn Peterson record a personal best in the 800-meters, running 2:36.13. Senior
Miranda Kerndt clocked 3:07.85 in the same event.
First-year
Eleanor Lindeman's pace-setting run in the Caty Delwiche Memorial 5,000 meter posting a debut time of 18:40.38 finishing as the runner-up. Fellow first-year
Lydia Feldhahn added a solid performance in the same event, finishing in 20:16.54.
In the throws, junior
Maggie Lewandowski notched a mark of 9.92m in the shot put ahead of first-year
Alehsha Rentz posting a mark of 8.38m in the shot put.
St. Kate's is set to appear in the Gopher Classic on Saturday, February 7 at the University of Minnesota.
