Golfers improve from first round to finish ninth

HUDSON, Wis. -- The St. Catherine University golf team finished round two of the Concordia St. Paul and Minnesota State University Mankato Fall Brawl at Troy Burne Golf Club in Hudson, Wisconsin. The Wildcats were led by Caylin Cantwell to finish ninth as a team with a 36-hole score of 654.

Cantwell repeated her round of 78 (+7) to finish plus 14 in 14th place. Senior Lolla Magrann shaved five strokes from her first round to shoot 78 (+7) with Cantwell and finish 30th. 

Raquel Ahrens was the Wildcats third finisher shooting 13 over on her second 18 holes. Ahrens two-day round of +25 landed her 49th individually. Balancing out the team score was rookie Arivia DeBoer shooting +14 on Tuesday to finish 57th. The final Wildcat in the field of Division II golfers was Sydney Dodds shooting 94. 

St. Kate's is set to host their annual Fall Invite Saturday and Sunday with the first round at Eagle Valley Golf Course in Woodbury. Round two will be at Braemar Golf Course in Edina, the host site of the 2025 MIAC Women's Golf Championships.
