NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University volleyball team downed the St. Olaf College Oles 3-0 on Wednesday evening in Northfield, defeating the Oles for the first time since the 2011 season. The win puts the Wildcats at 15-7 overall with a conference record of 5-1 to hold down third overall in the MIAC.
Top Wildcats
- Senior outside Lexie Petrick tallied 16 kills hitting .368. Petrick recorded her sixth consecutive double double with 12 digs.
- Senior Lucia Nueman tallied a match high 18 assists with one aces, eight digs and one kill.
- Junior outside hitter Liz Rosen delivered 11 kills, four aces and 14 digs.
Notables
- The defeat of the Oles is the Wildcats first since October 19, 2011 when St. Kate's won 3-2.
- St. Kate's led the match in all categories including points (57-44), kills (44-38), aces (6-1), blocks (7-5), assists (40-36), and digs (58-54).
- The match was tied a total of 15 times between all three sets with only four lead changes.
