Dancers place sixth at USA College Nationals

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The St. Catherine University dance team appeared at the USA College Nationals on February 25 and 26 in Anaheim competing among the top programs from across the country. The Wildcat dancers placed sixth overall in Division III scoring an impressive 80.5 points.

"We are so proud of what we put on the floor this season at the 2023 USA College Dance Championships", mentioned head coach Alexa Boderman. "The dancers performed with such grace and power on stage and truly left their mark on the dance floor. We want to thank Industry award winning choreographer, Derrick Schrader for such a beautiful routine this year, and we can't wait to see what the future brings for our program."

For the first time in program history, the team competed in a new division appearing in the 4-yera college Jazz division rather than the college pom category. The jazz division incorporates stylized jazz dance movements and combinations, visual effects, level changes, formation changes, and dance technique. Emphasis should be on uniformity of the selected jazz style, proper technique, timing and performance quality.
