ARDEN HILLS, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University volleyball team dropped a five set thriller to Bethel University at Robertson Center Saturday evening. The loss puts St. Kate's at 13-7 on the season with a conference record of 5-3.
Tiffany Tellez recorded a double-double with eleven kills, 24 digs and four aces, plus five assists leading St. Kate's along with
Lexie Petrick who also had a double-double recording eleven kills with two blocks, 18 digs and two aces.
Lucia Neuman led St. Kate's in assists with 25 in the match while adding eight digs and four kills to her stat line.
Madison Fagan tallied a team high six blocks with nine kills.
St. Catherine took the first set with a 25-17 score before nearly flip flopping falling in set two 25-18. Bethel maintained the energy taking set three 25-19 but St. Kate's wasn't ready to be done forcing set five by winning the fourth 25-23. St. Kate's eased into the fifth set taking an early lead before Bethel picked up speed to take over the lead and win 15-13.
The Wildcats' return to Butler Center on Friday, October 27 hosting the College of St. Scholastica at 7 pm.
