ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University soccer team put on a show for their home crowd with a 4-1 defeat of the visiting Simpson College Storm. Junior
Ari Green had a day with five points which included two goals plus one assist.
Green scored the first of three goals in the 16th minute with an unassisted goal at 16:14. The Storm scored their lone goal less than 15 seconds later knotting the game up at 1-1 before the third goal and game-winner was scored by senior
Amanda Elton with help from Green at 16:47.

Lauren Witte scored her first goal of the 2022 season in the 50th minute of play two minutes before she connected with Green to assist the Wildcats fourth and final goal.
Green led the shot count as well with two shots on goal while seven others each tallied one for a total of nine. Junior keeper
Kate Praetz claimed the win allowing one goal and making two saves.
St. Catherine is on the road for their next two games heading to Luther College on Wednesday, September 7 and Central College on Saturday, September 10. The Wildcats return to St. Paul to open the MIAC season on Wednesday, September 14 hosting the College of Saint Benedict at 4 pm.
