DECORAH, Iowa -- The St.Catherine University soccer team dropped their first game of the season falling to the Luther College Norse 2-1 on the road Wednesday.
The Norse scored in the 13th minute of play to take a hold onto a one-goal lead through the half. St. Kate's goal was scored by
Amanda Elton in the 52nd minute with an assist from rookie
Natalie Pfleger.
Luther added the game-winner in the 63rd minute to defeat the Wildcats for the first time since 2011.
Despite the final result, the Wildcats won the shot count tallying seven shots on goal led by junior
Kallie Tuominen with three.
The Wildcats are on the road again Saturday traveling to Pella, Iowa for a 4 pm non-conference game against Central College.
