ST. PAUL, Minn. -- St. Catherine softball dropped a pair of non-conference games on Wednesday hosting Wartburg College at St. Kate's field. The Knights cruised past the Wildcats taking the first game 9-1 and game two 18-6. St. Kate's to 18-13 overall with a trio of conference doubleheaders remaining on the schedule.
GAME ONE | Wartburg 9, St. Catherine 1 (6 innings)
Wartburg added six runs in the top of the third inning with back to back two-run singles. St. Kate's added their lone run in the bottom of the inning with rookie
Sarah Posey scoring an unearned run off of
Alex Ehde's hit. The Knights scored on an error in the fifth and their final two in the sixth for the win.
GAME TWO | Wartburg 18, St. Catherine 6 (6 innings)
The Knights scored early and often in the second game taking a nine run lead before St. Kate's was able to score.

Julia Azure's double brought home Brunn and MiKayla Grant.
Wartburg followed the Wildcats runs with their first home run of the game in the top of the fourth.
Jasmine Ziegler and Azure added runs in the fourth and fifth holding off the Knights until the top of sixth where they scored seven including three homers along one from Grant to close out scoring for the day with her first home run of the season.
The Wildcats return to St. Kate's field on Friday for Senior Day hosting the College of Saint Benedict at 3:30 and 5:30 pm.
