ROCHESTER, Minn. -- The St. Catherine softball (4-4, 0-0 MIAC) team earned a split on their second day in Rochester, defeating Grinnell College 8-0, before falling to Concordia University, Wisconsin in a 4-0 decision.

The Wildcats scored eight runs in two innings starting out with a two-run double from senior
Lindsay Burr. Burr scored an unearned run with junior
Julia Azure getting on base as the result of an error in the field taking a 3-0 lead in the top of the 4th.
St. Kate's tallied five runs in the top of the sixth inning with seniors MiKayla Grant and
Angela Huepfel with doubles to drive in four runs.
Five Wildcats hit doubles in the first game along with three players with two RBI. Junior
Alyssa Montero picked up the win in the circle with a career-best 12 strikeouts allowing just 3 hits and zero runs.
GAME TWO | Concordia-Wisconsin 4, St. Catherine 0
Senior
Annabelle Schutte took the loss in the Wildcats final game in Rochester allowing five hits with three strikeouts in three innings. Junior
Leah Weiss came in in the fifth inning giving up two hits and Montero closed out the game tallying two additional strikeouts facing just five batters.
The Falcons scored all four of their runs in the bottom of the fourth holding off the Wildcats through seven innings.
St. Kate's returns to play March 20 in Clermont, Florida facing the University of Chicago on their annual spring break trip.
