ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The St. Catherine University soccer team are the 2022 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Playoff Champions with a 1-0 double overtime win over the Carleton College Knights. The defeat is the second playoff championship win in a row for the Wildcats and third in program history. 

St. Kate's had nine shots on goal in the game dominating the shot count in the regulation.  

Junior Ari Green was the game-winner on Saturday scoring her fourth of the season with an assist from sophomore Caitlyn Barlett with less than five minutes remaining in the second overtime. 

The playoff win earns the Wildcats the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament for the third time in the last five seasons. The NCAA will announce the national tournament field during its annual selection show on NCAA.com Monday, November 7 at 1:00 p.m. CT.
